what is mu?
It all started with an embodied dream. the name mu comes from the sanskrit Mumukshutva, which translates into a burning desire for liberation. This movement school was born out the most pure longing for expression. Or maybe it was a longing for belonging. maybe it was both. Whatever it is, she is slowly taking shape and making its way into the world, ready to set your heart on fire.
The visionary, the dreamer, the mover behind MU.
Hi, Iām layla.
I am an Holistic Movement Educator, specialised in nervous system health and freedom for mind, body and spirit.
With a background in dance and martial arts, movement has always been my avenue for expression and my therapeutic approach of choice. Years later, the desire to work in the intersection of movement, therapy and art arose naturally.
My practice and teachings are informed by Non-dual classical tantrik yoga, the somatic explorations of Body-Mind Centering and Continuum Movement, Depth psychology, modern neuroscience and the unique potential of the expressive arts.
My multifaceted perspective of the world is translated into a creative practice, that aims to bring us back to our innate state of interconnectedness - as the potential source of our healing.
